Trip Addison, Vice President for External Affairs
Mr. Addison is a “Double Eagle” graduate of Georgia Southern University, earning both a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the College of Business Administration. He comes to Georgia Southern after serving in the role of assistant director of the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD). Prior to that time, he held the position of deputy director of the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget. Additionally, he has served as a policy advisor to Governor Nathan Deal for the areas of tax, labor, economic development, and natural resources. Mr. Addison is a member of the Georgia Special Advisory Commission on Mandated Health Insurance Benefits, the Erosion and Sediment Control Overview Council, and the Georgia Southern University College of Business Young Alumni Board. He previously served as chairman of the Georgia Occupational Regulation Review council. He was recently named into the Georgia Southern 40 Under 40 class of 2014.
Suzanne Tatum, Assistant Vice President for External Affairs and Chief Protocol Officer
Suzanne Tatum graduated from the University of Colorado, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She began her career in New York City, working at CBS News in the News Operations Division. After three years in New York, Mrs. Tatum moved to Georgia. She began working at Statesboro Herald/Morris Multimedia in print sales and was promoted to Online Marketing Director and host of Studio Statesboro, a daily online news show. She began working at Georgia Southern University in the Marketing Department in 2009, as a Senior Marketing Associate. She moved into the role of Assistant to the Vice President for Government Relations and Community Engagement, in May of 2013. In 2015, she was promoted into her current role, Assistant Vice President for External Affairs and Chief Protocol Officer for the University. Mrs. Tatum is a 2013 graduate of the Protocol School of Washington’s Protocol Officer Training and she represents Georgia Southern University in the Protocol and Diplomacy International Protocol Officers Association (PDI-POA). She currently serves on the Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber of Commerce Government Operations Committee and Professional Women of Statesboro. Additionally, Mrs. Tatum is a 2009 graduate of Leadership Bulloch and a 2010 graduate of the Eagle Leadership Academy. She is an active member of Statesboro First United Methodist Church. Suzanne and her husband, Bryant, reside in Statesboro with their two children.
Kendria Lee, Operations Manager for External Affairs
Kendria Lee is a “Double Eagle” graduate of Georgia Southern University, earning both a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Systems from the College of Business Administration. Mrs. Lee began working at Georgia Southern University in the Zach S. Henderson Library in 2004 as an EDP Technical Support Specialist. Her job responsibilities grew as she was promoted in 2008 to an Information Analyst. In 2014, her job responsibilities grew again to include Library Assessment and Planning support. Mrs. Lee moved into the role of Operations Manager for External Affairs in August 2015. She is currently serving as Past Chair of the Georgia Southern University Staff Council. She is also serving as a mentor for the REACH program. She is an active member of Believers Church of Statesboro. Kendria and her husband, George, reside in Statesboro with their four children.
