Message from the President – June 27, 2020

Colleagues,

Last evening, the FY 2021 state budget passed both the House and Senate and is now headed to the Governor’s desk for his signature. The University System of Georgia will realize a 10.8% reduction in its state budget allocation over FY 2020. This represents a lesser reduction than the 14% that we were asked to prepare. 

Yesterday, the Board of Regents approved that no furloughs will be implemented for University System of Georgia employees in FY2021. We will provide more details once the budget is signed by the Governor and our budget proposal is approved by the Board of Regents.
