Inclusive Excellence Action Plan Seed Grants

Background

The Inclusive Excellence Action Plan Seed Grant is a grant opportunity funded by the Office of Inclusive Excellence. The purpose of the Seed Grants are to allow for programming that aids in implementing the goals and action items listed in the Inclusive Excellence Action Plan. The Inclusive Excellence Action Plan is a plan that was created by the Office of Inclusive Excellence to support Pillar 3 of the Georgia Southern University Strategic Plan, Inclusive Excellence. The Inclusive Excellence Action Plan consists of 4 Goals:

  • Goal 1: Create an equitable and inclusive environment for all.
  • Goal 2: Increase the representation of diverse students, faculty, staff and community partners at all levels of the university.
  • Goal 3: Facilitate access to achievement, success, and recognition for underrepresented students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
  • Goal 4: Implement strong, genuine and consistently communicate culturally inclusive practices that enforce the Strategic Plan and the Inclusive Excellence Action Plan.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2022-2023 ACADEMIC YEAR WILL OPEN AUGUST 1, 2022!!!!

Up to $750 may be requested per event/proposal. Georgia Southern faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to submit proposals requesting funding for guest speakers, exhibitions, performances, or other events/initiatives which will be held on campus during the academic year. Applications will be reviewed on a recurring basis. It is highly recommended that proposers submit event proposals by the end of the first full week of the month prior to the month of your engagement to give ample time for review, decision making, and fund processing. **The team will be more inclined to fund events that have 50% or more funding secured for their proposal prior to seeking partnership with the OIE.** You can find the application linked here.
