Jewish ERG

Overview
The Jewish Employee Resource Group (J-ERG) at Georgia Southern provides a supportive intercampus network for all Jewish faculty and staff. Our group provides networking support and advocacy for issues of concern to the Jewish community.
Mission
The sense of community is a fundamental part of the Jewish identity and experience, but finding that at Georgia Southern University and in Southeast Georgia can be challenging. The Jewish ERG will provide this space for Jewish employees at Georgia Southern who identify as Jewish by heritage, culture, or religious practice. The Jewish ERG will provide a welcoming environment in which Jewish faculty and staff on all campuses can feel connected to other members of the Jewish community, and it will provide these employees a safe forum in which they can discuss common interests, concerns, and/or experiences at Georgia Southern. The Jewish ERG will contribute to GS’s goal of inclusive excellence, by helping to create a sense of belonging for Jewish faculty and staff at GS.
Membership Eligibility
Membership is open to all Georgia Southern Employees who identify as Jewish by heritage, culture, or religious practice.
