The International Employee Resource Group (ERG) exists to provide a safe space where members may discuss concerns that affect the international employee community, find support, and collaborate towards bringing about positive change. Therefore, the vision, mission, goals, and activities of the International ERG are focused on 1) creating a safe space for its members, 2) building a culture that fosters awareness, respect, and inclusion in the workplace and 3) advancing the growth, career development, leadership, social connections, and success of international employees at Georgia Southern University (GS).
The Mission of the International ERG is to promote a diverse culture and inclusion through continual learning and interaction. The International ERG will advance the understanding and inclusion of employees with a common background, set of interests and/or goals. The International ERG will provide a welcoming environment to international faculty and staff on all campuses. This ERG will connect with the members of the International community, and will provide these employees a safe forum to discuss common interests and concerns at Georgia Southern. The vision, mission, goals, policies and activities of the group are fully aligned with the mission, goals, and policies of the Office of Excellence.
Membership is available to all employees currently associated with GS. The ERG shall provide a roster of its members to Human Resources on a yearly basis. All members are eligible to be members of the Steering Team.
